Merge SCORE! – Play Along

The Merge Records Forums are abuzz with activity from happy recipients of the first few discs of the wonderful SCORE! collection, which recently started shipping. You’ll recall that SCORE! is the big Merge project, put together in honor of their 20th anniversary, that features a slew of great exclusive stuff, including mix CDs from a diverse list of participants including Peter Buck, Amy Poehler, and Jonahtan Lethem, to name just a few.

Unfortunately, these are a members-only affair, and the ordering window closed last month. HOWEVER, Merge has just announced a nifty lil’ SCORE!-related contest you can play along with: the “Make Your Own SCORE!” game. Just go to forum, and put together a list of your 20 favorite Merge songs from the Merge Digital Store. A winner will get picked in March, and gets a free Merge T-shirt (or tote bag), and will have their comp made available in the Merge store.

Get over there! And note that you’ll definitely get bonus points from me if you throw some Butterglory in the mix.
