Lou Reed’s “Metal Machine Music” Is Back

Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music is back, in a sense, in the form of his Metal Machine Trio. You’ll recall Metal Machine Music as Lou’s 1975 album that consisted of pretty much nothing but noise and feedback (there’s probably one guy, and one guy only, in your circle of friends who swears by it).

The trio, which also features saxophonist/live-electronicist Ulrich Krieger and live-processor/“Fingerboard Continuum” player Sarth Calhoun, play 2 shows this week at the Blender Theater at Gramercy*.

(*Tix are 1/2 price for students, BTW)
