Deerhunter’s “Rainwater Cassette Exchange” — ACTUALLY on Cassette
We posted about Deerhunter’s Rainwater Cassette Exchange EP, but at the time had no clue that it would actually be available on cassette. But it is.
Deerhunter are kicking off a big European tour this weekend, and although you can get the EP on Monday as a download, and on 6/22 as both 12″ and CD, if you make it to one of these European tour stops, you can pick up Rainwater Cassette Exchange as God (or, rather, Bradford Cox) intended: on cassette.

BMR says:what is it about 1/4 inch tape? Weren’t cassettes generally considered to have been a sub-par medium – a scam perpetrated by the record industry? Is this akin to girls wearing leg warmers and day glow shirts?
