Good Music Writing: It’s Out There
You may think you know all the places for good music writing on the web, but I’ll bet you’re probably missing a few. These ones, namely. Check them out.
The Agit Reader: A bogglingly well-done weekly webzine, with long-form features, excellent reviewing, and the essential Primitive Futures column.
Smoke Music Archive: A media-rich online mag dedicated to “authentic music, traditional to experimental,” helmed by veteran music writer Bob Moses.
Yes In My Backyard (@ The Village Voice): A semiweekly column (replete with MP3s) focusing on “local” acts around NYC, written by none other than Whiney G, aka Christopher Weingarten (aka the blogfamous 140-Character Conference Guy).
Cast your eyes to these places and let them lead your ears to someplace new.
