    Wizard Sleeve is the better one for me – the vox in particular remind of early post-punk – in a good way. Girls at Dawn? Lovely and all but isn’t the “another idiot boner stoner bedroom garage punk jangley band” niche well and truly sewn up at this stage by Vivian Girls et al?

    I’m going to say Sharp Ends, because if there is one thing I like it’s post-punk, and if there’s anything I like more than that, it’s post-punk with a dark streak.

    Plastic Crimewave Sound all the way! Steve Krakow (Plastic Crimewave himself) rules you and you have to admit that. Submit to PCW! Plus that dude’s been kicking things up for long enough to teach all these newcomers a lesson or two. His Galactic Zoo Dossier is prerequisite reading for the psych inclined.

    Plastic Crimewave Sound. Vague resemblance to Hawkwind (sonically – there’s no Stacia here, more’s the pity) + some kind of dragon motorcycle motif on the cover = win.
