New Surf City MP3 – “Autumn”
Surf City – “Autumn” This track will soon appear on a 7-inch from these Auckland kiwi-popsters. Their debut full-length is due in 2010.

Jay says:I heard this at Pitchfork last week and had the same thought then that I’m having right now that I’m listening to it again, which is that the bassline in this song is very similar to “Flowers” by The Clean. I don’t really care that much, but it’s worth noting, partly just because The Clean seem to be a pretty obvious reference point for Surf City already (and not just because they’re from NZ).
Anyway, I like the band a lot. I loved their EP last summer and have pretty high hopes for the LP.
