Listen@MBV: Sufjan Stevens – “The Age Of Adz”

Renaissance man Sufjan Stevens lays out his long-awaited LP-proper follow-up to Illinois today (which was just given a deserved BNM designation). Folks are saying that The Age Of Adz marks a departure from Sufjan’s epic indiorchestra pomp and a return to a darker, more raw approach. Give it a listen yourself and see what you think…

BUY IT: CD MP3 LP (out 11/9)

Thank you so much for making this available for listening in full and not just annoying snippets! I fell asleep to it last night, so it has seeped into my brain, even though, listening now, it does not sound especially familiar. Looking forward to having it grow on me!

Sad ’cause I did not find out about the Detroit show until after it sold out. :(

    Sounds rich and delicious!

    All the best,
    *Merry*

What a journey. Extremely intelegent, smart, gorgeous music. These themese are twisted together in such a truely unique way. This is one of those few albums you can’t help but listen straight through mutlipe times.

    REAL PERSONALITY
